The Macquarie Park Innovation District (MPID) is Sydney’s largest innovation hotpot. MPID is home to more than 180 multinational companies, 200 small/medium businesses, Macquarie University, Macquarie University Hospital and a rising number of entrepreneurs. With a combined GDP of $9.2b, this bustling technology park will revolutionise the way we collaborate, innovate and cultivate how we work, live and play.
An industry-led initiative, Macquarie Park Innovation District founding partners include Abbott, AMP Capital, City of Ryde Council, Johnson & Johnson, Konica Minolta, Macquarie University, NAB, NSW State Government, and Optus. We are also proud to welcome our new partners Herbert Smith Freehills and Stockland to the Innovation District.
A globally recognised ecosystem creating innovative solutions benefiting the local and international community.
Macquarie Park Innovation District is based on four fundamentals: Collaborate, Create, Connect, Community.
- Collaborate: Events, forums, research, networking, hacks, sharing
- Create: Incubators, intrapreneurship and entrepreneurship programs
- Connect: Event spaces, SMART digital infrastructure, transport
- Community: International network, outreach, pop-up innovation
Macquarie Park Innovation District is growing rapidly. An additional 40,000 employees will join the park in the next 10 years; Macquarie Centre – already the largest shopping precinct in New South Wales – is marked for further expansion; residential development will continue to increase; and the start-up ecosystem will intensify with the creation of new incubators, collision spaces and programs. However, it is the collaborative events – open to all park members – which really differentiate the innovation district.
We welcome you to take part in Australia’s premier and fastest growing innovation district.
